** Description changed:
I've just installed Ubuntu 8.10 amd64 on my macbook pro Santa Rosa, and I've
installed it twice. There's no sound can be heard.
The sound system worked well with ubuntu 8.04 amd64.

+ *****I've solved the problem by adding the line: options snd_hda_intel
model=mbp3 to /etc/modprobe.d/options. Then reboot.
