linux kernel:2.6.27-8
scim: 1.4.7-3
unbuntu 8.10 desktop amd64
In addition to these, some strange things happened. I also have problems
with number pad and I tried to fix it by System-Preference-Keyboard and
choosing the right layout. When I finished, the number pad worked and
Chinese typing also became ok. But after I restart the computer, the
number pad no longer works and the same problem of Chinese typing occurs
again, and there's no changes in the keyboard settings. Moreover, the
reaction speed of the direction keys become slower. I don't know if this
is a problem of the hardware, but the keyboard is completely ok while I
am running other systems.
I don't know if these are the problems of the kernel, but it seems that
these problems are linked.
Thank you for taking care of this matter.
