I have a very similar situation: When i run mythcontrolcentre from the command line, I get the following: (mythbuntu-control-centre:8524): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_simple_async_result_set_from_error: assertion `error != NULL' failed /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/MythbuntuControlCentre/core.py:208: Warning: g_error_free: assertion `error != NULL' failed gtk.main()
(mythbuntu-control-centre:8524): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_simple_async_result_set_from_error: assertion `error != NULL' failed (mythbuntu-control-centre:8524): GLib-GIO-WARNING **: (/build/buildd/glib2.0-2.16.6/gio/gfile.c:5249):IA__g_file_load_partial_contents_finish: runtime check failed: (g_simple_async_result_get_source_tag (simple) == g_file_load_contents_async) Segmentation fault It's been at least a month since I last entered the control centre, so I don't know how long this has occurred. Also I scanned around the web, and it appears this glib problem is not isolated to the control centre, or even to ubuntu - I saw fedora reports of recent bad glib and multiple programs. I'm a linux newbie, so I'm not much help. I tried the suggestions above about reinstalling and nothing worked for me so far. So still stuck... -- MCC Segmentation Fault https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/273159 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
