Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

Hi,

I use kubuntu 8.10. My network-manager has version
0.7~~svn20081018t105859-0ubuntu1 and network-manager-kde has version
1:0.7svn864988-0ubuntu1.

Two days ago my network-manager worked fine without any problems but
yesterday during my work on laptop network-manager stopped working. And
it is not able to set my network eth0. Network-manager-kde shows that
network is disconnected. If I try to set eth0 in kde-network-manager
again It makes nothing. I have to set network manually and it works. But
after reboot network-manager again delete my network eth0 settings. I
don't understand why network-manager stopped working.

After reboot network eth0 is again down and if I write ifconfig to see
where is problem I get this:

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWadr 00:18:8b:d9:e3:0f

          Přerušení:18

Maybe it helps you to find where is problem.
