Public bug reported: no sound on headphone after update to ubuntu 8.10 on dell d830 (stac9205)
After an update from Ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10 is it not possible to get any sound on the headphone. The internal speaker works fine. If I plug in a headphone in, the internal speakers will be switch off but the headphone not on. I tried some model options in “etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base”, without success.
