** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xkb-data

When I press the "period" key (or the SHIFT-"period" combination to get a
"greater" symbol) it instead generates a "comma",
I tested it with the br and us mappings (brazilian ABNT2 and US Interbational
layouts),
  This bug affects only X11,
It affects all Kubuntu machines I'm directly responsible, (Intrepid Ibex,
amd64, updated, xkb-data 1,3-2ubuntu4,1),
Please take a look at this bug ASAP, I'm almost unable to use my machines to
develop software because the "period" and "greater" symbols are simply
essential,
+
+ I believe the problem is related to this bit of code:
+
+ // Configures the "." and the "," for the numeric keypad
+     key <KPPT> { [ KP_Decimal              ] };
+ include "kpdl(comma)"
+
+ I tried to substitute /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/kpdl with Xorg's
+ original (http://cgit,freedesktop,org/xkeyboard-
+ config/tree/symbols/kpdl) but it didn't effect the current behavior,
+ even after restarting X,
