Public bug reported:

This is on an ASUS M2N-MX SE Plus motherboard. I have found the fresh-
install PCM, Line and PC Speaker being muted or turned to 0 and brought
them all up. I still have no sound whatsoever. Any help greatly
appreciated, of course.
