I have had this issue with updating lately with many programs, I
actually have had some issues with my player is how this started I
guess. my web cam plays audio but for the picture it displays only a
black screen. The program I use to display my supported webcam is
cheese, also all video files will not play in totem same situation. So I
was trying to download codec for it and them this happened. the last
thing I downloaded was a libc thing that was older than the one
installed because one forum said that the older one worked and the new
one was buggy. Iuse ubuntu 8.10 intrepid ibex
