Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: nautilus
Starting up nautilus with DISPLAY redirected to a different machine shows
artifacts
as can been seen in attachment. It seems bitmaps are missing, as at the
location of the artifcats
bitmaps should have been shown. It simply takes random memory to draw or maybe
does not draw at all?
The shown "eyes" are bitmaps from a different program running at that moment..
so strange that is draws that there.
Reproduce with:
% ssh -o ForwardX11=yes PCADDRESS
(enter password)
Start up nautilus at that machine:
% nautilus
Note that nautilus does display an error message:
** (nautilus:7269): WARNING **: Unable to add monitor: Operation not supported
Nautilus-Share-Message: Called "net usershare info" but it failed: 'net
usershare' returned error 255: net usershare: cannot open usershare directory
/var/lib/samba/usershares. Error No such file or directory
But I don't think it is related.. Samba is not in use by me.
Note that firefox started ok (no artifacts!) in which I enter this bug report.
So there seems nothing wrong with X or ssh.
