For my point of view, yes. I expect a mouse to be referred as a mouse, for
relative movements (the 'event' device is used for absolute pointing).

The problem appeared after upgrading to 8.10, I expected
'/dev/input/by-id/usb-Tablet_XD-0608-U-mouse' to always point to the same
old mouse, but X was crashing because of the device not existing.
