I upgraded from Ubuntu Hardy (32-bit) to Ubuntu Intrepid (32-bit) and I lost functionality also on my laptop with all bluetooth devices. Bluetooth for me also worked fine in Ubuntu Hardy. I thought I was upgrading to a stable version of Ubuntu? Please look into fixing the bluez package.
