Starting my notebook Sony VGN-NS11S_S with the
xubuntu-8.10-alternate-i386.iso image the cdrom drive works well. After
the finished installation of intrepid the sata failed (failed also after
the update to kernel Ubuntu 2.6.27-7.16-generic).
