Hello all!

Sorry for the lack of updates from my part... Been using Vista because
of this problem + a new problem that there was up till today... NO
WIFI!!!!! ha. And now I have no Bluetooth either.... hahaha But I don't
use it....

Ok, back to the sound problem.. I have 2.6.27-8 and still no sound, I
played with the alsa-base and still no luck...

Anyway, I think I detected the problem, at least for this kernel... When
I run this at the shell:

$ cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#* | grep Codec
Codec: Realtek ALC889A
$ aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: ALC883 Analog [ALC883 Analog]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 1: ALC883 Digital [ALC883 Digital]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

See, I get Realtek ALC889A with the cat command and ALC883 with aplay...
BUT more importantly (I think), is that with aplay both devices are #0
and 1/1, I think I should have the analog 0/1 #0 and the Digital 1/1 #0
(or #1)....

Can anybody help me with this, maybe black listing the Digital.... but
how?

Thanks in advanced!
Serpentus
