I am using the released Ubuntu 8.10 64 bit, I am having problems with
the Intel Desktop Pro gigabit card. It just keeps
connecting/disconnecting. It does not seem to be able to get any
connection. I tried assigning it static IP, it does not work.

On the other hand, the 32 bit Ubuntu 8.10 works flawlessly. I have been
looking around for a solution for the 64 bit Ubuntu to work for my Intel
gigabit pci card, I could not find any. it is not a hardware issue.
Hopefully someone can post a solution.

Thanks
