- I was trying Kubuntu 8.10 Beta LiveCD before installing, and I found out
- I had no sound at all. In Hardy it was working almost correct (sometimes
- when I started the system sound was muted. All I could do was restart,
- and sound usually came again).
+ In Hardy, sometimes sound was inaudible at boot, regardless of mixer
+ settings. In Intrepid, the sound inaudible issue occurs much more
+ frequently. Rebooting a few times is the only workaround.
When using multimedia keys in my laptop, something strange is happening,
the mute button is working (although sound is muted all the time) with
Kmixer but when I press volume buttons, it always shows 80% volume. My
laptop is an ASUS Z53F. Volumes in alsamixer seem to be ok.
EDIT: Seems that by closing session and entering KDE again, volume
buttons behave as expected with Kmixer, but still no sound.
