I just wanted to share some screen shots of what I did on my DELL D505 and now the mouse does NOT disappear anymore.
http://picasaweb.google.com/razorspells/DELLD505BiosA09 My setup is: - Dell D505 / Bios A09 - 64MB shared video memory - 768MB RAM - Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Note: On the Bios setting "UMA Size" I changed it from 1MB to 8MB and the result was the following: a. boot splash page is now on 1024x768 b. mouse still visible coming back from hibernation, suspend and console. I have no special settings on the xorg.conf file just the normal detection setup.
