Public bug reported:
I am experiencing random occassional system lockups while working on KDE 4,
this is only since I did a clean install of Kubuntu 8.10. This does not happen
during boot up.
I had previously upgraded from 8.04 and had no problems except with missing
icons
Here are some sequential entries from my /var/log/messages file just
after a hang
Nov 20 13:26:00 richarde-kubuntu -- MARK --
Nov 20 13:40:40 richarde-kubuntu kernel: [ 6908.175850] apm: BIOS not found.
Nov 20 13:40:46 richarde-kubuntu kernel: [ 6914.581640] iwl3945 0000:05:00.0:
PCI INT A disabled
Nov 20 13:41:05 richarde-kubuntu exiting on signal 15
Nov 20 13:42:35 richarde-kubuntu syslogd 1.5.0#2ubuntu6: restart.
My system version is:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 8.10
Release: 8.10
Kernel-image version: 2.6.27-7.16
I have a wifi killswitch but I am not touching it, the only button that
works after the iwl3945 is disabled entry is the power button not even
caps-lock works, I have had to do this 5 times today not a lot but
enough to be annoying
