Your proposed package makes a couple of changes to the Debian
package that are not mentioned in the changelog, namely
- CFLAGS="$(CFLAGS)" LDFLAGS="$(LDFLAGS)" $(MAKE)
+ CFLAGS="$(CFLAGS)" LDFLAGS="$(LDFLAGS)" $(MAKE) KDIR=$(CURDIR)/debian
and
-copy_exec /sbin/v86d
+mkdir -p ${DESTDIR}/sbin
+
+copy_exec /sbin/v86d /sbin
what purpose do these changes serve?
