I do not know what package is responsible but when I try to boot my
computer into Ubuntu8.10 I get a busybox (initramfs) followed by many
pages of errors. discussion of this bug can be found on post 6225820 of
http://ubuntuforums.org. I am including a snapshot of my screen when
attempting to boot Ubuntu 8.10. MY system is completely down except for
my windows half of my harddrive.
