or you can do as following to get rid of this (this is what I just found yesterday for my laptop!):
1. Go to http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp, download the jdk-6u10-docs.zip file. 2. Change the name jdk-6u10-docs.zip to jdk-6-doc.zip 3. Use command: sudo cp <place where u keep the zip file>/jdk-6-doc.zip /tmp 4. Next time, if u are prompted with that pop-up, type Enter and wait for a few seconds, the problem then will be solved. regards, Cuong Vào T7, ngày 22, 11 năm 2008 lúc 11:43 +0000, Gelu viết: > Remove sun-java6-doc with synaptic and all it's ok,you d'nt need this > package. > > 2008/11/22 angela cartagena <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > > how could i remove that from popping up? i don't need the documentation > > anymore and i would just like to remove the java docs problem. i tried > > to remove the package but the rror still appears. > > > > -- > > Java Docs Package Won't Install > > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/85969 > > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > > of the bug. > > > > Status in "j2se1.4-i586" source package in Ubuntu: Confirmed > > Status in "sun-java5" source package in Ubuntu: Confirmed > > Status in "sun-java6" source package in Ubuntu: Confirmed > > > > Bug description: > > Binary package hint: sun-java6-doc > > > > This is also a problem with the java5 version of this package > > > > Trying to install these packages produces a message: > > > > Setting up sun-java6-doc (6-00-2ubuntu1) ... > > This package is an installer package, it does not actually contain the > > JDK documentation.
