Public bug reported:
This is a regression. It worked in Hardy, but not in Intrepid anymore.
System:
Dell Latitude D630 Laptop
Kernel:
Linux 2.6.27-7-generic #1 SMP Tue Nov 4 19:33:20 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
Intrepid fully patched.
Bug description:
When pressing Fn-F3 nothing happens. On Hardy, the remaining battery time was
being correctly displayed.
The battery applet works normally otherwise, i.e. when hovering over the
notification applet icon, the battery time gets displayed correctly.
xev displays the following when pressing Fn-F3:
KeyRelease event, serial 34, synthetic NO, window 0x5600001,
root 0x80, subw 0x0, time 67496752, (-742,205), root:(485,264),
state 0x0, keycode 244 (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), same_screen YES,
XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
XFilterEvent returns: False
The Fn-modifier otherwise works normally. Other special keys, e.g. for
display brightness, work also normally.
I don't really know what other information would be helpful, but can
provide anything you need, just tell me.
