Package: xorg 1:7.1.1ubuntu6 in edgy
Hardware: ATI Radeon 9700 mobility (Samsung P35)
It happened 3-4 times untill now with no reliable reproduction yet.
Closing the laptop lid kicks in gnome-screensaver. After a while screen blanks
and one have to press a key or move the mouse. screensaver asks to enter the
password and the first key press causes the crash:
- no more xorg on screen
- automatic switching to empty console with blinking cursor in the upper left
corner
- switching to other console by ctrl-alt-Fx not possible
- after some seconds gdm restarts and I have to login
xorg.log (attached later) points to a xorg crash.
