I believe I have the same problem.  At first I didn't choose a cert,
assuming things would be done automatically for me.  I got a scary
warning about a cert, so I hit cancel instead of ignore and then clicked
the cert button.  No cert was available, giving me a very confusing
"choose" option that just pointed to my home folder.  I gave up and hit
cancel, then went to go back and try ignore -- at this point network-
manger crashed.

Marking high priority since it breaks the network entirely.
