Public bug reported:
I created an OOo database file based on a jdbc (Connector/J 5.0.4)
connection to a MySQL Server. I did this when OOo was configured to use
a sun java 1.5.0_08 jre.
I then configured OOo to use the IBM 1.5.0. I then closed open office,
and re-opened the OOo database file. When I double clicked the "tables"
icon, I got the login dialog to enter the password before connecting to
the remote database server.
A crash occurred after confirming the login dialog. I recovered and
opened the database file again. I tried again, and the crash occurred in
exactly the same manner.
I then switched back to the prior sun 1.5.0_08 jre, and was able to
connect successfully.
Results indicate that OOo Database and IBM 1.5.0 can't play nice
together.
Obviously, the java runtime environments and mysql jdbc driver have all
been manually installed
