Er, I think the point of the bug is to say that Firefox shouldn't just stop working just because of an update. Forcing the user to start over (rather than finish what they're doing) isn't exactly user-friendly.
When a full system restart is required, the entire system doesn't immediately cease to function. The user can put off those restarts. Why can't the user put off restarting Firefox in the same way? If the user doesn't care about seeing the new features and just wants to keep doing what they're working on, they shouldn't be forced to take a break, lose everything they were working on, restart Firefox, and start over everything they were doing. -- Cannot print from Firefox if Firefox update occurs while Firefox is running https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275673 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
