Er, I think the point of the bug is to say that Firefox shouldn't just
stop working just because of an update.  Forcing the user to start over
(rather than finish what they're doing) isn't exactly user-friendly.  

When a full system restart is required, the entire system doesn't
immediately cease to function.  The user can put off those restarts.
Why can't the user put off restarting Firefox in the same way?  If the
user doesn't care about seeing the new features and just wants to keep
doing what they're working on, they shouldn't be forced to take a break,
lose everything they were working on, restart Firefox, and start over
everything they were doing.
