The cause of the failure is

process: Resource temporarily unavailable
dpkg: error processing tex-common (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1

This might be a temporary situation due to another process locking the
database.
If it's still an issue can you please provide the output of the following
command to find which process is involved:
fuser -v /var/cache/debconf/config.dat
