Unfortunaly 15/30 seconds are not enough for all systems. In one of my test cases I have devices appearing after a minute. The problems that we are addressing here are different. First of all there is no way to know when drivers will finish to scan a I/O subsystem and second we don't know when udev will present all the devices to us. >From a pure theoretically point of view we should be waiting from boot to shutdown.. yeah it's kind of weird idea and 3 minutes seems to fit 99.9999% of the cases i could cover.
