** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg-driver-fglrx When the ATI proprietary driver is enabled the startup of the xserver fails, prompting to either continue in low-graphics mode, reconfiguring xorg or troubleshooting the situation. The reconfiguration fails every time I've tried it - the only thing that works is to load the low-graphics mode using the alternate driver. My graphics card is an ATI 9800XT. It worked for a couple of days in Intrepid Ibex but then there was an patch to the driver and it began to fail. + + + Backtrace: + 0: Xorg(xf86SigHandler+0x79) [0x80c3009] + 1: [0xb8040400] + 2: Xorg(xf86CallDriverProbe+0x20c) [0x80a920c] + 3: Xorg(DoConfigure+0x200) [0x80b4810] + 4: Xorg(InitOutput+0x80c) [0x80aab3c] + 5: Xorg(main+0x279) [0x8071b19] + 6: /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xe5) [0xb7c43685] + 7: Xorg [0x8071101] + Saw signal 11.
