I can confirm this, as well as the print key alone doesn't do anything at all. Referring to the System Settings ALT+PRINT should take a screenshot of the current window to the clipboard. Print-key alone should run ksnapshot. This doesn't work too. Using Kubuntu 8.10 64bit.
