Hi all, IMPORTANT!!!! I have a HP pavillion dv9610us Laptop with same problem with aperture and key press to boot up. However I have only seen one other post about plugging in the power supply or battery charger after booting freezes with battery power only.
To duplicate try this............ I boot with battery power only and let the status bar freeze or stop. Then plug in the charger and it finishes the boot without any key press.
