Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: login

when I attach my notebook (intrepid ibex, thinkpad t40p, ATI Mobility
FireGL 9000 ) to my external monitor (1920x1200) the login screen where
I enter name and password is offset to the right, with a black bar of
roughly 8 cm on the left hand side of the screen. With the previous
version of ubuntu the login-screen was not offset, but blown-up in size
and very blurry. Since intrepid ibex, it's looking much better, but
offset as described above.

After login-on everything works perfectly. I think this is a minor
issue, but it's a bit "bad PR". If I want to demonstrate to someone how
nice and awesome ubuntu is, the demonstration starts with an offset
login-screen...
