Up-to-date ubuntu 8.04 amd64
File permissions and attributes (like size) are not refreshed.
Example:
enter a directory into which firefox downloads some file, or where a .zip file
is created etc etc.
you will see the_file with size 0
Even if the size grows the view is not refresh, untill you do it
manually by ctrl-R, or re-enter the directory.
