** Summary changed:

- [kubuntu intrepid] can't assign particular icons for specific applications or
change existing icons
+ Cannot manage icons for specific filetypes filetypes

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: kdebase

- Icons for applications cannot be changed.
+ Icons for filetypes cannot be changed.

  Tried this in Systemsettings-->Advanced-->File Associations.

  Icons for existing file types cannot be changed (in KDE3 we have that option
by for clicking the icons).
  This also happens when a new file type is added in File Associations, the
option to assign a specific icons is not available, so that every new file type
always get the unrecognized icon (question mark icon).

  Kubuntu Intrepid Beta
  KDE 4.1.2
