Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: network-manager
At home sometimes I use a cross-over ethernet cable to sync large files
directly from my notebook to my desktop but
networkmanager changes the default gateway route even when no gateway is set in
the /etc/network/interfaces configuration file. So I cannot connect to the
internet using my wi-fi access point while the 'home' connection is selected.
Content of /etc/network/interfaces:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
iface eth0 inet dhcp
iface home inet static
address 10.17.17.1
netmask 255.255.255.0
Content of /etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf:
[main]
plugins=ifupdown,keyfile
[ifupdown]
managed=true
** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
