Public bug reported:
Occasionally, my laptop under 8.10, and my sister's laptop under 8.04.1
(installed from alpha release) will not recognize any input other than
the power button after coming back from suspend.
I'm using a USB keyboard and mouse to send this report from my laptop
right now.
Newly plugged in devices Just Work, but those built into the laptop do
not; restarting X does nothing. (I know I filed this on the xorg evdev,
but somebody please help me out here...) The failure includes all
multimedia and other keys ('home' key on my Dell)-- the little button on
my CD drive works though, it pops the tray right out...
Before restarting my machine to get input device functionality back, I
obtained all files I thought could contain relevant data and put them in
a .tar.gz to attach to this bug.
If someone would like me to confirm this bug on Jaunty, I can do so with
the first LiveCD alpha release.
