I did a backtrace with f-spot when the issue happens (double click on a tag) following the istructions in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace (mono --debug /usr/lib/f-spot/f-spot.exe) and after installing f-spot- dbgsym even if I don't know if it useful as I use a mono app.
