Just to clarify:
Your screen is fine before installing these apps?
Your screen is fine again after uninstalling these apps?
With your screen appearing correctly, execute the following command:
cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf > ~/xorg
then install fglrx and get to an improper state. execute the following:
cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf > ~/xorg.fglrx
uninstall fglrx and get screen back to normal, install xvideo-ati, get screen
back to improper state, and execute:
cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf > ~/xorg.xvideo-ati
diff ~/xorg xorg.fglrx > ~/xorg.diff.fglrx
diff ~/xorg xorg.xvideo-ati > ~/xorg.diff.xvideo-ati
attach xorg.conf, xorg.diff.fglrx, and xorg.diff.xvideo-ati to this bug
report.
