Make sure you have also upgraded module-init-tools and initramfs-tools.
If this is a fresh edgy install, upgraded to feisty, then there's a
chance you've been bitten by another bug:
edit /boot/grub/menu.lst, find the line with kopt_2_6 in it, and delete
that entire line. Then run "sudo update-initramfs -u". This should
resolve the problem.
