Public bug reported:
This is NOT a bug but, as my job would call it, an "Enhancement" or "New
Requirement". (I am a config mgmt admin weenie.....)
My Apache skills are limited to stopping, starting, and re-starting the
httpd; adding, modifying, and deleting HTML files in the www directory;
and editing the httpd.conf with EXPLICIT direction. Please do not be
offended at this report if I make any technical or judgemental errors.
I'd like to TRY to run the Java web server Jigsaw at home (8.10 desktop
Ubuntu).....I then learned that W3C has lots of open source programs.
Would there be any benefit to having an Ubuntu package, say, oh, I
dunno, called w3c-suite that has all their apps and tools so a
person/group could run a set of apps that comply with W3C? I do realize
that Apache is FAR more prevalent than Jigsaw.....
Again, please know that "I Know" this report is not a BUG. I will not be
offended if it is Rejected. (Hey, the board has me update change
requests as Rejected.)
