I'm having the same issue with my new work Dell E4200 with Intel Mobile 4 Series integrated graphics; on resume from hibernate or suspend I get a black X screen with the mouse pointer locked solid.
I can also confirm that the work around of taking CPU1 offline prior to hibernating fixes it (haven't tested suspend yet). Attached lspci -vvvv output, will attach dmesg and Xorg.0.log in subsequent comments. ** Attachment added: "sudo lspci -vvvv" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/20040356/lspci.txt -- Resume from suspend doesn't not work on the Mobile 4 Series chipsets https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/276943 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
