Applications control the size of their systray icons. Not much we can do
about it in that respect. In KDE 4.1 you can have two rows of systray
icons if your panel is tall enough, though depending on how much space
the theme you use wastes you may have to get it bigger than the 48
pixels needed for 2 lines in KDE3.
You will be able to hide apps in KDE 4.2, so marking fix committed until
KDE 4.2 beta1 hits the Jaunty repos.
