Dear Luke Yelavich, Thank you for your response and sorry for my late reply.
Although I upgrade to Ubuntu 8.10, orca still has a problem on my Panasonic CF-R4 notebook. First, I launch orca by going main menu -> universal access -> orca, then gnome-terminal launch automatically to configure some settings of orca. After finishing the setting, I logout and re-login the session to launch orca with the settings. But orca doesn't work. I also launch it from the terminal, then it says $orca TIMEOUT: something has hung. Aborting. $ It seems that orca still has a bug... (but, I don't know it is the same one I reported before because it hasn't already spend many CPU resources.) afujihara On Fri, Nov 28, 2008 at 12:29 PM, Luke Yelavich <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > wrote: > Is this bug still an issue in Ubuntu 8.10? > > ** Changed in: gnome-speech (Ubuntu) > Status: New => Incomplete > > -- > orca won't launch and then festival-synthe lavish CPU power > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/196295 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > -- afujihara email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- orca won't launch and then festival-synthe lavish CPU power https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/196295 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
