I have fixed this problem recently by adding a new printer entry to the
OpenPrinting database, so that there are distinct entries for the 540C
and the 540. The foomatic-db package of Intrepid already contains the
change. Problem is the HPLIP package. It contains a PPD meant for the HP
DeskJet 540C which has the model name "HP DeskJet 540".
