Funny you should ask, I just got intrepid installed for the first time today, all it took was a new motherboard and incidental cpu and ram upgrade. 8.04.1 would not even boot from a live cd on the original hardware and neither would Intrepid.
I have not seen this in my Intrepid amd64 install but then again, I have almost completely new hardware. I was thinking it was something specific to the amd64 3xxx+ single core cpu since I remember at the time that in the forums a number of others had the same issue and all were using amd64 3xxx+ single core cpus. I will be reconstituting the old machine back to its original specs soon and will give Intrepid a try on it and let you know... if i can ever get it to boot. regards, mark -- faulty dependencies in gdm cause login failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/234479 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
