Hi, when upgrading, I choose the option "do 3 way merge (experimental)"
for menu.lst and that resulted in error. Later I did a reinstall of the
linux kernel image and choose the option "install package's version" and
that worked and fixed menu.lst file.

I had changes in menu.lst for savedefault and changing "queit splash" to
"irqpoll". Other than that I don't have any other changes in menu.lst file.
Hope that helps.

Regards,
Jagan.

Unfortunately they got deleted when you rebooted. Maybe the system
shouldn't keep error logs there...

The logs you attached say that there was a problem when merging your old
menu.lst with the new one.

Your menu.lst looks good. Du you still have problems that may related to
the bug above?
