this issue occured in 8.04 and 8.10 version of kubuntu (i still have 2 machines running 8.04 and 8.10 and this happens on both of them) i have gone back to using gnome (ubuntu) rather than kde 4 (kubuntu)
i did fix the problem on kubuntu 8.10 by removing all kde bluetooth packages and installing the gnome ones as detailed in this bug report - 281949, which i posted because bluetooth stopped working altogether after a kernel update, and as far as i know the kde bluetooth packages are still causing this issue for me anyway, despite various updates, but i have resolved the issue by using the gnome bluetooth packages which work flawlessly, no pairing issues no system locks nothing, just a working bluetooth system. i have how ever read various article regarding bluetooth packages not working with the new version of kde (kde 4.1) i believe there is info on this issue on the kubuntu website. if you want i will test bluetooth on the systems i have that are using kubuntu and post any logs that might be needed. cheers -- bluetooth causes keyboard and mouse to stop working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/241278 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
