My USB mouse (MD tech, purchased in Thailand and made in China like everything else) works in X for a while but if I leave it plugged in for a while without touching it, it will cease to function (the touchpad will still work, however). My backspace key doesn't work (hardware issue) so restarting X isn't simple. I tried lsusb and the output never gets around to showing up.
