Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
I'm using Ubuntu 8.10. I have a USB device, on which I've put some music (11 MP3 files). Because I want Rhythmbox to play the music, I created an .is_audio_player file with the following content: audio_folders=Muziek/ folder_depth=2 output_formats=audio/mpeg If I connect this device (it contains much more files than those 11 mp3 files), Ubuntu mounts the drive directly. As soon as Rhythmbox sees the drive, it freezes for 10 minutes or more. The led of the USB drive is constantly flickering, so Rhythmbox is busy reading the device. After this period, Rhythmbox unfreezes and I can play the music. Is there a solution, so Rhythmbox doesn't take this long to read the 11 files? apt-cache policy rhythmbox rhythmbox: Installed: 0.11.6svn20081008-0ubuntu4.2 ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Rhythmbox freezes for 10+minutes after connecting an USB device https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/303970 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
