Public bug reported:

With the work around (or the kernel patch) for Bug #276943 in place
suspend/resume will work once completely reliably. The _second_
suspend/resume cycle (and it is always the second) ends up with a hang.
Specifically the network-manager is attempting to reconnect the
wireless, and it appears to get to the end ie. reconnected and at that
point things start going wrong. We find a kernel events/N thread is
burning 100% of a CPU and other things start to lock up at this point
until the machine becomes completly unusable.
