Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
I'm inserting flash animations using the method found at: http://latrine.dgx.cz/how-to-correctly-insert-a-flash-into-xhtml But, I noticed that <object data="flashfile.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"> does not work in FF3 on Ubuntu. The flash animation is not shown (even if you can download it). Example: http://knowhow.davidgrudl.com/html/embedding-flash/example-final.html The flash animation can still be viewed or inserted using <embed> (which is not an XHTML valid method). My configuration: Ubuntu 8.10, FF 3.0.4, flashplugin-nonfree 10.0.12.36 PS: This bug occurs also on Windows... but other browsers like Opera or GoogleChrome show the animation. ** Affects: firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Flash not shown using <object> https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/304059 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
